Very important points, Robin! I think our need to take shortcuts is first of all, because the worlds teaches you early on that it’s only about results, not about the journey. You only matter as what you have, not who you are or what you have learned. So our self-worth becomes instantly linked to results. Thus, our logical way of approaching it then becomes: if someone tells me I, too, can get a 100 subscribers tomorrow, I should follow that person’s formula.

That is a really good point. Focusing on results makes you think that shortcuts are an advantage because they make the journey shorter... But if you focus on the journey, you realize that the wrong shortcut is bypassing important experiences. Thank you for your contribution to this conversation.

Robin and I have discussions about topics like this a lot, and I can attest to how much thought she's put into this. Especially in relearning how to trust and value her instincts and inner voice. This is an excellent distillation of the recent part of her journey that is very thoughtful and encouraging. Thank you for continuing to share this journey with the rest of us, my love.
